It is best to begin now, this very moment, to re-align our lives with our deepest, inner-most self and the highest good within us.

Allah is not an old man in the sky, He is not Zeus sitting in a cloud waiting to punish you. Allah is not Santa Claus, with a naughty list from which you cannot be redeemed. Allah is the Creator of the cosmos, the One whose mercy embraces all things, whose love embraces all hearts, whose hands heal all wounds, whose face is everywhere you turn. . .

Sufi teachers say with inner certainty that the hallmark of a spiritually developed being is that he or she is graced with the divine qualities of graciousness and generosity in manners, behavior and service. . .

Humankind has created so much havoc with our grasping, greedy ego. We are trapped in our own avarice and greed and have become addicted to the pleasures that they provide, even though they never truly satisfy us. . .

It is in turning toward the Divine, being of service to others, and removing the veils of the ego that we begin to feel the love that God has always been pouring upon us. . .

Beware of the desires of the ego that is never satisfied. . .

The Qur’an tells us that all feelings are sacred, and have been gifted to us by God. Psychologists tell us that when we try to stifle or deny our feelings, they simply go underground and sap us of our energy, becoming more and more powerful and difficult to control. . .
